Cambodian artist awarded at children’s exhibition Lidice 2025

On 23 May 2025, at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Phnom Penh, H.E. Martin Vávra, the Ambassador, had the honor of presenting the official certificate to Sovatana SOUNG, the awarded six years old student, joined by his proud mother and a representative from Yamada School of Art in Phnom Penh.

The International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice (ICEFA Lidice) was established in 1967 to commemorate the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice murdered by Nazis in 1942, as well as all other children who have died in wars.
There were 12,946 artworks from 81 countries sent for the 2024 edition, but only 1,282 entries won prizes, and 175 were awarded with medals, including the young Cambodian artist, Sovatana.
We proudly congratulate the young Cambodian artist who represented his school and country in the 52nd edition of the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2024.
The Lidice is an annual exhibition, considering as one of the largest in the world, bringing together thousands of children from all over the world.
