The Embassy cordially invites you to a discussion with professor Paul Grof, MD, PhD, FRCP, a leading expert and world-renowned physician in the field of psychiatry. The event is organized as a part of the series of talks with prominent Czechs living in Canada.
Topic: Mood Disorders: surprizing discoveries.
(Mostly light-hearted stories about psychiatric practice and mood disorder research, the lecture and discussion will be in English.)

Paul Grof is a Czech-Canadian clinician and research psychiatrist. He was a professor at several Canadian and European universities until he retired from the University of Toronto in 2022.
Currently, he acts as the Director of Research and Education at the Ottawa Mood Disorders Center.
In addition to his therapeutic and research work, Dr. Grof worked at the National Institute of Mental Health, USA, and as an Expert at the World Health Organization, Geneva (1985-2000).
He has received several international awards for his research and authored nearly six hundred publications and three books.
He has also been involved in transpersonal activities for over six decades. He has utilized Holotropic Breathwork and psychedelic-supported psychotherapy with clients and psychiatric residents.
