Already third Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic has been opened in Norway. In addition to the Honorary Consulate in Bergen and Trondheim the Honorary Consulate for the northern Norway with jurisdiction throughout the territories of the counties of Nordland, Troms and Finnmark has been opened by the Ambassador Lubos Novy and the Czech MFA representative together with the Troms County governor and the representatives of the city of Tromsø. Mr. Arve Hjulstad Johansen has been appointed Honorary Consul.

If necessary the Czech citizens can arrange a meeting also in the office in Tromsø, Grønnegata 86. There are cca 25 Czech citizens living in Tromsø and surrounding. Most of them study or work at the University. During the summer the region is also visited by many Czech tourists.
