Two new Czech Republic Visa Application Centres in Jaipur and Kochi were launched on 2nd and 3rd March 2017, respectively to serve the needs of the growing number of Indian visitors to the Czech Republic and facilitate the visa process.
The centres in Jaipur and Kochi were inaugurated by Mr. Martin Smolek, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and by H. E. Mr. Milan Hovorka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India, who took time to come in person and demonstrate at their level the importance the Czech Republic attaches to people-to-people contacts with India.

Speaking on that occasions, Ambassador Hovorka recalled that by opening Jaipur and Kochi the number of major Indian cities where people can submit their Schengen Visa applications for travel to Czechia by visiting VFS Global centres increased to 11.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Mr Martin Smolek said he was pleased to have the opportunity to inaugurate the two centres during his very first visit to India. He said, “Indeed, we continue to deliver on our promises and aim to strengthen our relationship by encouraging more and more people to visit the Czech Republic. I believe that those who live in Jaipur or Kochi or more generally in Rajasthan and Kerala will appreciate the possibility of applying for visas close to their homes."

The launch of the centre in Jaipur was gratified by the presence of Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Jaipur, Dr. Ashok Lahoty, that in Kochi by the presence of Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Kochi Ms. Soumini Jain.
