Mission Accomplished: 16 Visa Application Centres

Date: 01 September 2015 - 31 July 2017

From the beginning of his diplomatic assignment in India Ambassador of the Czech Republic Milan Hovorka had an ambitious plan to open visa application centres as soon as possible in most of the major cities across India to enable Indian nationals travelling to the Czech Republic to apply for Schengen Visa and to break the necessity to come personally to the Czech Embassy in New Delh to submit the visa application.

Today he can be satisfied that the "mission is accomplished". There are 16 joint visa application centres run by the VFS Global company where Indians can apply for all types of the Czech Visa. The only exception is a diplomatic, official or residential visa for stay for more than 90 days in the Czech Republic for which applications have to be submitted directly at the Embassy.
