The North Atlantic Council opened the NATO-ICI Regional Centre in Kuwait

During the NAC trip to Kuwait on January 24, 2017 Allied Ambassadors participated in an opening ceremony of the Regional Centre NATO-ICI and held a joint meeting with members of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The NATO-ICI Regional Center will produce strategic and political analyses, foster military cooperation, including interoperability of the armed forces and defence capacity building, civil emergency planning, public diplomacy, cultural awareness and training. It will be open to all NATO countries and members of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
