Ambassador Václav Bálek met with the IOM Director General António Vitorino

At the meeting on 4th February 2022, Ambassador Václav Bálek discussed with the IOM Director General António Vitorino the cooperation of Czechia with the International Organization for Migration, including during the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2022.
The Director General announced that the IOM would issue recommendations to the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU. He also mentioned the upcoming important international events such as the International Migration Review Forum, a global platform to discuss progress on migration, and the European Humanitarian Forum. Current migration challenges the world is facing were also discussed.
