First Agreement between Czech and Palauan Institutions

Cooperation between the National Museums of the Czech Republic and the Republic of Palau will start after signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.

 

 

First agreement between Czech and Palauan institutions was signed during the working visit of Ms. Baklai Temengil, Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs to the Czech Republic on November 3, 2017.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Belau National Museum and the National Museum of the Czech Republic arranged through the good services of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Manila establishes the first direct contacts between the two museums and will allow the cooperation between its experts and scientists mainly in the field of natural sciences.

The memorandum – the first of its kind with the institution in the Pacific region - represents another important document that will deepen the cultural and scientific relations of the National Museum with foreign countries.

Baklai Temengil, Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs of the Republic of had also talks with Martin Sekyra, Deputy Director General of the National Museum, and toured the New Building of the National Museum and its exhibitions Noah´s Ark and Light and Life, guided by Ivo Macek, Director of the Natural History.
