
Czech Home Credit Expands to Cebu City

The biggest Czech company operating in the Philippines, Home Credit, expands its operations to the second economic hub of the country, Cebu City, starting January 2016.
Home Credit B.V., an international consumer finance provider with operations in ten countries, including Russia, China, Vietnam etc., was founded in 1997 as a part of the biggest Czech conglomerate, PPF. It focuses on responsible lending primarily to people with little or no credit history. With its 68,900 employees globally, of which some 1,500 are employed locally, it is the most important Czech employer in the Philippines.
First established in the Philippines in 2013, Home Credit has served over 150,000 customers in Metro Manila and adjacent provinces on Luzon, who have purchased products including tablets, flat TVs, mobile phones and home appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators. Following its successful operations in Metro Manila, Home Credit Philippines CEO David Minol expressed his excitement for the recent expansion as Home Credit “had plans of expanding to other regions, and Cebu City has always been Home Credit´s priority”. Cebu City operations were launched jointly by Home Credit Philippines CEO David Minol and Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of the Philippines Jaroslav Olša, jr. on 23 January, 2016.
Under this expansion, qualified mass market customers in Cebu City are now able to avail of the company’s affordable installment plans to purchase gadgets, appliances and other electronics from partner retailers in Ayala Center Cebu and SM Cebu.
Availing of Home Credit Installment is easy, simple and fast. Everyone can apply with two valid IDs and money for initial payment. Applications are then processed within 30 minutes, after which, customers can leave the store with their purchased goods.
