
Czech Ambassador presented letters of credence in the Republic of Nauru

Ambassador of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Olša, jr. presented the Letters of Credence to H. E. Baron Waqa, President of Republic of Nauru on 17 July 2017 thus becoming the third Czech Ambassador to this Micronesian country.
H. E. Jaroslav Olša, jr., Ambassador of the Czech Republic has been received by H. E. Baron Waqa, President of the Republic of Nauru on 17 July for presentation of his Letters of Credence. President Waqa welcomed and wished Ambassador Olša, jr well during his term as Ambassador to Nauru, and expressed appreciation for the continued relations between the two countries. On the occasion of his visit, President Waqa hosted an informal dinner with many members of the Cabinet, MPs and the diplomatic corps present.
Ambassador Olša, jr. continued also with courtesy calls on Hon. Cyril Buramen, Speaker of the Parliament, met with Ministers of Education and Transportation, Secretary of Foreign Affairs and met resident Australian High Commissioner. he has also met the former President of the Republic of Nauru, Marcus Stephen, who will soon visited Prague as a President of Nauru Olympic Committee.
