Europe Day Celebrations in Wiltz

Europe Day in the Luxembourg town of Wiltz once again highlighted this year how diverse, interconnected, and vibrant Europe is.

The program, attended by Grand Duke Guillaume, Speaker of Parliament Claude Wiseler, Prime Minister Luc Frieden, representatives of European institutions nad the diplomatic corps, other distinguished guests and more then 4 thousand visitors provided an opportunity for people from different countries to meet, share traditions, and reflect on the values on which Europe is built. There was no shortage of music, tastings, or conversations across languages and cultures.

The Czech Embassy joined the celebrations with the support of students from the European School II in Mamer — Mariana, Zuzana, and Matěj — who helped present Czech culture and traditions, regions, tourist attractions and travel tips, as well as what unites us within the European space.

We would like to thank all the visitors who stopped by the Czech stand and, together with us, helped create the warm and welcoming atmosphere of this year’s celebrations in Wiltz.

You can watch a video from Europe Day on our Instagram or Facebook.
