The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lusaka has launched a call for proposals for projects of support to economic activities of Czech companies in Zambia, Zimbabwe and/or Malawi in 2022. The application deadline is 30 September 2021.
The aim of these projects is to identify local partners that can provide services to Czech exporters and investors. These services may include e.g. elaboration of a business plan, legal and financial counselling, assistance in setting up distribution channels or promotion and marketing activities.
Successful applicants can receive funding for up to 70 % of their expenses related to providing these services, the remaining 30 % to be co-financed by Czech businesses benefiting from these services. The total funding received from the Embassy within the project can amount up to CZK 500,000. The proposed project must take place between 1 January and 31 October 2022.
Project proposals are to be submitted in paper form to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lusaka and at the same time as a scan by email to lusaka@embassy.mzv.cz. They must include a duly and completely filled-in project identification form in Czech or English language (see attached), with a stamp of the submitting organisation and a signature of an authorized representative. A proof of legal entity of the submitting organisation (e.g. an abstract from the register of business organisations) and a proof of representative’s authority to act on behalf of the organization must be attached. The proposal must be specific and be intended for a group of Czech companies, institutions or investors. It must clearly define objectives and outputs, planned activities, budget details and include references of the applicant in the area of providing similar services. The application deadline is 30 September 2021.
