Zambia Succeed at the 54th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice

Pupils from two schools in Lusaka took part in the 54th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice, one of the world’s largest and oldest children’s art competitions. This year’s theme, “Book”, inspired young artists from Zambia to submit 23 creative artworks.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lusaka is pleased to highlight the participation of Zambian schools in the 54th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice.

This year, Zambia was represented by two schools from Lusaka: ChristLife School and Nkhwazi Primary School. Together, their pupils submitted 23 artworks reflecting the theme of the current edition – “Book”.

We are especially proud that Bushe Tamanda, a 9-year-old pupil from ChristLife School in Lusaka, received an Honourable Mention in the painting and drawing category. Her success is a recognition not only of her talent, but also of the creativity and dedication of young artists in Zambia.

The Embassy sincerely congratulates Bushe Tamanda, ChristLife School and all participating pupils and teachers. Their participation helps strengthen cultural and educational links between Czechia and Zambia and brings the legacy of Lidice closer to young people around the world.
