The scholarships support studies at public universities in the Czech Republic and are available for selected Master's and PhD programmes taught in English. Providing scholarships to students from developing countries is an important component of the Czech Republic's development cooperation. Zambia, as one of the priority partner countries of Czech development cooperation, has been participating in the programme since 2017.

Who Can Apply?  Zambian citizens holding a Bachelor's degree (for Master's studies) or a Master's degree (for PhD studies) are eligible to apply.

Applicants are particularly encouraged to apply for programmes in areas relevant to Zambia's development, including agriculture, environmental sciences, energy, engineering, information technology, cybersecurity, mathematics, economics and biomedical engineering. The final list of eligible study programmes is available on the official scholarship portal.

Application Process: Applications are submitted online through the Study in Czechia portal. A complete application consists of an online application form, a motivation letter, and successful completion of the English Language Test and the General Academic Aptitude Test.

Important Notice:  The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lusaka does not accept or process scholarship applications. All applications must be submitted through the official online portal.
