Known as the "Czech Locomotive," Zátopek's enduring spirit and relentless dedication to excellence have made him an iconic figure in the annals of sports history. The screening offered viewers a poignant look into his life, triumphs, and enduring legacy.

This event was part of the Festival of European Cultures, an initiative by the Delegation of the European Union in Lusaka and EU member states to foster cultural exchange and celebrate the rich diversity of European heritage. The festival featured a vibrant array of cultural, social, artistic, and sports events, hosted by resident EU Member States Embassies. These events aimed to strengthen ties between European nations and Zambia, fostering mutual understanding and appreciation through shared cultural experiences.

The Czech Embassy's screening of "Zátopek" was a testament to the power of film in bridging cultural divides and bringing communities together.
