Senior representatives of Czech and British government institutions and expert organisations gathered in London on 6–7 May 2026 for the third annual Czech‑British Anthropoid Forum, a bilateral platform focused on foreign policy, security, and strategic cooperation.
"In a world that is that is getting more and more unpredictable, close co-operation with the United Kingdom is one of the anchors of our foreign and security policy," said about the importance of the Forum Czech Ambassador to the United Kingdom Václav Bartuška.
"The Anthropoid Forum underlines the depth of the UK-Czech relationship, bringing together trusted partners for conversations on the security challenges we face together and the practical cooperation needed to address them,” added British Ambassador to the Czech Republic Matt Field.
The Forum built on the legacy of Operation Anthropoid and the close historical ties between the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, while providing space for an open exchange on current geopolitical challenges, defence and energy security, and the future of transatlantic cooperation.
The programme included expert discussions and high‑level meetings addressing key security developments in Europe, lessons learned from recent crises, and opportunities to further deepen Czech‑British cooperation. Participants also reflected on the importance of shared values, democratic resilience, and continued dialogue between allies.
The third edition of the Anthropoid Forum once again confirmed the importance of regular Czech‑British consultations at both political and expert levels and reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to close cooperation in the areas of security and foreign policy.
