On 5 June 2017, the English College in Prague (ECP) held a traditional Garden party for its friends, patrons and alumni at the Czech Ambassador’s residence in London. The ECP was established in 1994 to revive the tradition of British style of education in Prague.
The Garden party was opened by the Czech Deputy Ambassador, Jan Brunner, and Mrs. Elizabeth Cooke, Chairman of The English College Foundation. Among the quests were Dr. Nigel Brown, the current Headmaster of the College, a few former Headmasters, Chairman of Governors of the College, Ms. Ann Lewis, alumni, friends of the College and others. A honorary guest of the garden party was Baroness Rawlings, the former Chair of the English College Foundation.
The musical accompaniment was provided by Ian Leigh's jazz trio and at the end of a pleasant evening, the wife of the Czech Ambassador, Mrs. Sabrina Sečková, was drawing beautiful tombola prizes given by the English College in Prague and the Czech Embassy.
