Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies 2026 - Call for Applications

Are you interested in the Czech language and eager to deepen your knowledge of Czech culture and history? Apply for the Summer School of Slavonic Studies in the Czech Republic.
Courses are held annually during the summer months (July and August). Their duration ranges from 3 to 4 weeks. The length of the course is determinated by the organizing school.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic is pleased to announce the launch of the selection procedure for scholarships to attend the Summer School of Slavonic Studies 2026, offering intensive Czech language courses hosted by Czech universitites.
Scholarship information:
The scholarship is provided by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of the Czech Republic. Eligible applicants must reside within the UK. Applicants must be at least 18 years old by the first day of the Summer School.
The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies offer Czech language courses at various levels of proficiency, seminars focused on the Czech literature, culture, history and a rich cultural program featuring theatre, music, and dance performances, excursions and sightseeing trips.
For 2026, six (6) scholarship places are available for students at the following institutions:

How to apply:
If you are interested, fill in the application form and send the printed original to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London no later than March 10, 2026.
