A tribute to the life of Colonel Rudolf Čapek (Rtd)

On 2 November 2017, a tribute to the life of Colonel Rudolf Čapek (Rtd) took place at the Military Cemetery in Brookwood. Colonel Čapek passed away on 24 October 2017 at the age of 98 years.
Col. Rudolf Čapek was a former member of the 2nd tank battalion of the Czechoslovak Armoured Brigade and participated in the siege of Dunkirk. He was awarded several decorations and medals including the Medal for Heroism by the Czech President Miloš Zeman in June 2017.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic was represented by the Defence Attaché Colonel Jiří Svatoš and Third Secretary Mr. Ondřej Hovádek.
