Rescuers of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic and Fire Rescue Services received an award

On February 28, 2015, the celebration of the Civil Defence Day was held in Slovenian city of Brdo pri Kranju. During the celebration the rescue teams from Slovenia and abroad were awarded. During 2014 these teams provided help to Slovenian citizens and participated in removal of consequences of natural disaster caused by ice storm at the beginning of the same year. From the Czech Republc the rescuers from the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic and Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic participated at the celebration and personally recieved an award for provided humanitarian aid. In total 12 states  (including the Czech Republic) participated on removal of the damage in February 2014. The states provided both physical and material aid. Besides the teams of rescuers, the President of Slovenia H.E.  Mr. Borut Pahor, the Prime Minister of Slovenia H.E. Mr. Miro Cerar, the Minister of Defence of Slovenia H.E. Mr. Janko Veber, the Head of the Rescue Service of Slovenia H.E. Mr. Srečko Šestan participated at the official award handover. The Ambassador of the Czech Republic, H.E. Ms. Věra Zemanová personally congratulated four-member Czech delegation of rescuers on its work as well as the award that was received by the team from Slovenian partners.
