Official visit of the Deputy Minister of Finance Ms. Simona Hornochová to Slovenia

On February 24 – 25, 2015, the Deputy Minister of Finance Ms. Simona Hornochová with the Delegation of the Ministry of Finance visited Slovenia to carry out bilateral consultations with Slovenian partners. The topics of consultations were the exchange of experience in the field of measures against tax fraud and problems with valuation and taxation of properties.  Ms. Hornochová was accompanied at the consultations by Mrs. Alena Holmes, the Director of Department no.: 26 of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, Mrs. Růžena Hrůšová, the Officer at VAT section of Department no.: 18 of the Minstry of Finance of the Czech Republic and Mrs. Jana Říhová, the Officer of VAT section of General Financial Directorate of the Czech Republic. The delegation held negotiations at the Ministry of Finance of Slovenia with the State Secretary Ms. Mateja Vraničar and  Ms. Jana Ahčin, the General Director of Financial Administration. Durning the meeting the representatives of both Ministries of Finance and Financial Administration of Slovenia exchanged information concerning established conventional measures against the VAT fraud as well as detailed information concerning   legislative measures both existing and under preparation in both countries. Another topic  that was discussed was the situation in the field of taxation and valuation of properties primarily in connection with possible prospectives of the develompment of legal measures of the property tax in the Czech Republic. Czech Delegation was also interested in both reasons and consequences of the decission of the Constitutional Court of Slovenia concerning the annulment of Slovenian Law of Property taxation in March last year.
