Celebration of the 108th Anniversary of the Founding of Independent Czechoslovakia

On October 19, 2026, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuwait hosted a formal reception at the Embassy premises to mark the 108th anniversary of the founding of independent Czechoslovakia. The guest of honor was His Excellency Omar Saud Abdulaziz Al-Omar, Kuwaiti Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Information and Culture. The event was attended by representatives from Kuwaiti institutions and the diplomatic corps, as well as members of the business, expatriate, and Slovak communities.
Musical accompaniment for the reception was provided by the Kuwait Music Academy; a trio performed the national anthems of the State of Kuwait and the Czech Republic. The program also featured a concert, which included CZ & SK songs and a Kuwaiti musical composition.
The reception concluded with a raffle, sponsored by Jazeera Airways, with a prize of two round-trip airline tickets.
