Short-stay Visa (Schengen Visa)
Schengen (short-stay) visas for stay up to 90 days are issued by the Embassy. Visa Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuala Lumpur is open for public on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 12:00 am and Thursday from 9:00 pm to 12:00 pm.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic accepts visa applications only if the Czech Republic is the country of your main destination (depends on length and purpose of your stay). If you are going for tourism, the main country of your destination is the one where you spend the longest time, not necessarily the country of your first entry. 

Long-stay Visa
The Czech authorities will issue a visa for a stay for more than 90 days upon the request of a foreign national, who intends to stay in the Czech Republic for study, employment, business or family unification. The processing time is approx. 90 days (60 days for student visa) from the day the Embassy receives a complete application file.

Employee Card
An employee card is a permit for long-term residence in the territory of the Czech Republic (CR) where the purpose of the foreign national’ stay (longer than 3 months) is employment.

Citizenship Application
Our Consular Section accepts requests for citizenship inquiries from persons of Czech and Czechoslovak background.

Our Consular Section itself does not determine, whether a person is or is not a Czech citizen, nor does it issue documents to this effect. The Consular Section helps the applicant prepare the request and forwards it to the respective regional authority in the Czech Republic to carry out the probe.

Anybody who thinks s/he could be a Czech citizen can file a request.

If the citizenship inquiry establishes that the applicant is a Czech citizen, the respective regional authority issues a citizenship certificate.
