This year European countries will showcase 19 movies and the Czech Republic brought to the Festival “Winter Flies”, last year´s film by the director Olmo Omerzu. This rather alternative road movie about two young boys, which run away from home driving their old car, was premiered at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2018, where it has won a Best Director Award and was selected as the Czech entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards.

„Winter flies“ will be showcased in Kuala Lumpur 6 times in total: on 17 and 27 October in  GSC Pavilion KL, on 18 and 20 October in GSC Mid Valley and on 21 and 26 October in GSC 1 Utama. Two more projections are scheduled also on 5 and 6 November in GSC Gurney Plaza in Georgetown.
