Czech Republic in European Day of Languages

The Embassy of the Czech Republic organized the participation of the Czech Republic in the European Day of Languages, which was held on 28th September 2019 in Kuala Lumpur. The event took place at HELP College of Arts and Technology and the Czech Republic was one of 12 European countries, which were present in this linguistic and cultural happening.

 

The European Day of Languages is an annual event celebrated all over the world on the initiative of the Council of Europe. The EU National Institutes for Culture in Malaysia (EUNIC) celebrate this day to foster cultural awareness about European cultures and languages in order to promote cultural diversity and understanding.

The representatives from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuala Lumpur introduced the Czech language for the public and held 3 trial classes for dozens of Malaysian students from different language institutes and other schools located in all Klang Valley. The Czech Embassy also participated in the general quiz and in many other language-learning activities for adults and children. Not only the smallest participants also enjoyed the storytelling activities, the Czech Republic presented the tale about Budulínek and the Fox.
