On 27 - 30 November 2019, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuala Lumpur co-organized an incoming mission of representatives of Malaysian gaming companies to Prague in connection with the Game Developers Session 2019 conference. Three major Malaysian gaming companies GAMEKA, Ammobox Studios and AeonSparx were given the opportunity to participate in the pilot project, organized by the Prague City Hall. The main aim of the project was to develop and internationalize Czech businesses in this dynamic sector.
The core programme of the business mission was their participation in the Game Developers Session 2019, the most significant conference of the gaming industry in the Czech Republic, organized by the Czech Game Developers Association. During this two-day event, all the participants were given the opportunity to present their products at the India Expo, as well as to acquire key information and contacts through a series of lectures and accompanying seminars.
The Prague City Hall together with the Czech Game Developers Association also organized accompanying networking events as well as highly appreciated visits to some of the Czech games development studios. As a result, representatives of Malaysian companies were given the opportunity to visit and consult well-known Czech companies such as Bohemia Interactive, Keen Software House, Geewa or SCS Software. An informative seminar was also prepared in cooperation with the CzechInvest agency, in which the local business and startup ecosystem was presented to foreign companies together with all the advantages and possibilities of doing business in Prague.
