Major Fairs in the Czech Republic in 2022

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuala Lumpur informs about most important fairs and exhibitions, which are being planned in the Czech Republic in 2022, coronavirus pandemic situation permitted.  The most prestigious – 63rd Edition of International Engineering Fair (Mezinárodní strojírenský veletrh - MSV Brno 2022) – is currently planned to be held on October 4 – 7, 2022. Over the years, International Engineering Fair has become the most important event of such kind in Central Europe in area of Machine Tool Industry and is sought by companies from over the world, which come regularly to display their products. The complete list of the most important events is also in attachment and our Embassy strongly advices to verify and update the current development through the provided links on the websites of the respective shows.

                                 KABO (19. - 21. 02. 2022)




KABO Footwear Fair is the most prestigious professional show of the products of Czech and foreign footwear manufacturers within the Czech and Slovak Republics. Most of the “global brands“ will present themselves, through their domestic distributors, along with footwear and accessory manufacturers. The GDS Footwear Fair from the mother company Messe, Düsseldorf is KABO’s cooperating partner.


                                        BIOMASS (3. - 6. 4. 2022)




BIOMASS 2022 will present technologies for energy use of forest and agricultural biomass. This year it will take place in parallel with the fair SILVA REGINA.


                                             AMPER  (17. - 20. 5. 2022)




28th International Trade Fair of Electrotechnics, Energetics, Automation, Communication, Lighting, and Security Technologies

We are very pleased to inform that there are starting preparations for the AMPER 2022 trade fair, which will take place from 17. to 20. May 2022 at the Brno Exhibition Centre. The 3-year absence of the trade fair confirmed the irreplaceability of this traditional form of presentation based on personal meeting, which is key in gaining and maintaining a relationship with its customers. Currently, over 520 exhibitors are registered for the AMPER 2022 trade fair.



                                             INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERING FAIR  (4. - 7. 10. 2022)




The International Engineering Fair is the most important industrial fair in Central Europe, exceeding 1 600 exhibitors and 80 000 visitors every year. More than 50% of the exhibitors and 16% of the visitors come from abroad.

The majority of visitors are professionals. Nearly 80% of those in attendance exert influence on business investment, and one third form part of the top management of their firms.


MSV’s spotlight is Industry 4.0 and Digital Factory, i.e. digitisation in production, one of the key trends of the innovation process. Other highlighted topics include the circular economy – management of material resources. This is a current trend which is a high-priority area of sustainable development as industry and trade adaptation will move forward in that direction.


Traditionally, MSV attracts significant media attention, with more than 260 journalists attending. One unique component of the fair is an accompanying programme that includes specialist conferences, as well as seminars and workshops on current technical, commercial and economic issues.


                                      FUTURE FORCES FORUM (19. - 21. 10. 2022)

Future Forces Forum


The Czech Republic will host the FUTURE FORCES FORUM (FFF) on 19 - 21 October 2022 in Prague and it is our pleasure to cordially invite you to join this biennial defence and security specialized networking, expert panels and exhibition.

The Forum is organized under the auspices of the Czech President, Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Minister of the Interior, Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as other relevant governmental bodies. The event is also held in close cooperation and partnership with the NATO structures, organisations, and agencies that are involved in the programme.


                                          GO & REGIONTOUR (20. - 23. 10. 2022)




It is the largest presentation of the tourism industry with emphasis on regions in Central Europe. REGIONTOUR is a key project to support domestic and incoming tourism in the Czech Republic. Its participants include crucial entities and decision-makers in tourism of the Czech Republic and its regions.

The GO Fair focuses on outbound tourism. In addition to domestic travel agencies, providers of tourism services in popular foreign destinations and foreign tourist centres take part.


                                           WOODTEC (October 2022)




WOODTEC is the most important trade fair for woodworking and furniture industry in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This fair is a business, educational and social event for all those who work with wood. For most joiners and carpenters, WOODTEC is an event that they cannot miss.

The trade fair takes place with the support of the EUMABOIS European Association of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers and is organized by Czech professional associations in the field of production of machines for woodworking, timber processing and furniture manufacturing. The content of the accompanying program is also jointly created by universities.

WOODTEC will introduce once again machinery for timber processing and furniture manufacturing, as well as components for furniture making. We expect presentations of novelties introduced during the LIGNA trade fair in Germany.

The accompanying programme of WOODTEC will focus on practical information for woodworkers and furniture manufacturers.

The WOODTEC Award exhibit competition will also continue.
