Czech ICT Companies on Business Mission in Kuala Lumpur and Penang

A business mission of Czech ICT companies visited Malaysia on June 1st-3rd, 2015. The mission was organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuala Lumpur in cooperation with the Czech ICT Alliance.
The objective of the mission was to provide its participants with an overview of the regulatory and business environment in Malaysia, to give them the information on the operation of ICT market and to help them identify specific business opportunities in Malaysia and South East Asia.
The mission consisted of Mr. Michal Zalesak, Executive Director of the Czech ICT Alliance, Mrs. Romana Opletalova, Director of d-Prog, Mr. Tomas Pokorny, Sales Director of d-Prog, Ms. Pavlina Zychova, Executive Director of SixStars group, Mr. Petr Krichebauer, Project Manager of LLP Group, Mr. Ondrej Bulir, Technical Manager of mForce, and Malaysia representatives of Czech company of Transport, Mr. Raj Nahenthara, Md Danial and Mrs. Elly Rozita. The Czech Ambassador to Malaysia, Mr. Rudolf Hykl, led the mission at the meetings.
In Kuala Lumpur, the Czech ICT companies visited the Malaysia Investment Development Authority, the Malaysian National ICT Association PIKOM, the Malaysia Technology Park, the Multimedia Development Corporation, Cybersecurity Malaysia, a Czech-Malaysian company of Techstore, DHL outsourcing centre in Cyberjaya and the Malaysia Global Innovation and Creativity Centre there as well. While in Penang, the Czech visitors had a briefing and B2B matching session at Invest Penang and visited a successful local e-commerce and hosting provider of Exabytes.
Ambassador Rudolf Hykl hosted on the occasion of the ICT mission a cocktail reception at his residence. The mission offered Czech companies concrete opportunities to develop business with Malaysian counterparts.
