Working Visit of Minister Macinka to Brussels

Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs Petr Macinka will undertake a working visit to Brussels on 28–29 January 2026.  

On Wednesday, the Czech Foreign Minister will hold meetings with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, and Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos. On the following day, he will participate for the first time in the EU Foreign Affairs Council (FAC). 

The main topics of the ministers’ discussions will include Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, and developments in Africa. The discussion on Ukraine will include a videoconference with Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha. The programme of the Foreign Affairs Council will also feature an informal lunch with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
