Date: 15.06.2025 - 17.06.2025 , Venue: Czernin Palace

The 8th Prague Space Security Conference, entitled “Space Security Economy and Capabilities: From Policies to Action,” will take place on June 15 - 17, 2025. Hosted by the Prague Security Studies Institute (PSSI), the conference will take place on the premises ofthe Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, undertheauspices of Petr Pavel, President of Czechia, Jan Lipavský, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jana Černochová, Minister of Defence and Martin Kupka, Minister of Transport.

The 8th Prague Space Security Conference will build upon the previous gatherings, concentrating on the intersection of global space security, economic and financial transactions, and effective space governance. Although much has been written about and debated with regard to the burgeoning “space economy”, very little attention has been accorded to the space security dimensions of commercial and private sector undertakings of the leading authoritarian space powers.

8th Prague Space Security Conference is essentially designed to redress this glaring shortfall. Moreover, this upcoming conference will address the best paths to levelling the global commercial space playing field.

Attendees can also expect a valuable update on the evolving counterspace landscape, the implications of Russia’s deteriorating global space footprint, the rapidly escalating U.S. - China space competition, allied military space strategies, and the role of public-private partnerships in shaping behavioural norms and other “rules of the space road”.
