Czech diplomacy will send new ambassadors to Belgrade and Tunis in the coming months.
"We are sending Jan Bondy to Belgrade and Richard Kadlčák to Tunis. Both have previous experience as ambassadors and I wish them much success," said Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský
Jan Bondy joined the Czech Foreign Service in 2007, after previous managerial experience managing Czech Centres. From 2007 to 2011 he was the Czech Ambassador to Cyprus and from 2015 to 2019 he served as Ambassador to Greece. At the Prague headquarters he repeatedly managed the Public Diplomacy Department.
Richard Kadlčák started working for Czech diplomacy in 1998. He spent a large part of his career coordinating European policies, first at the Prague headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then at the Permanent Representation of Czechia to the EU in Brussels and later at the Czech Government Office. From 2012-2016 he was the Czech Ambassador to Estonia. Between 2018-2024, he directed the department focused on cyber diplomacy and was Special Envoy for Cyberspace.
Both of them already have the consent of the receiving country, the so-called agrément. Both Jan Bondy and Richard Kadlčak will take up their posts during September 2024.
