Ministry of Foreign Affairs Commemorates the Victims of the Holocaust at the Czernin Palace

On the day the world commemorates the memory of the victims of the Holocaust, a meeting took place at the Czernin Palace on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Jiří Brodský and Holocaust survivor Ms Michaela Vidláková.

“Today we remember the millions of men, women and children who became victims of the genocidal Nazi ideology. We must not be indifferent to the world around us even today. Remembrance must not become a mere empty ritual, but a living commitment in the fight against all forms of antisemitism,” Deputy Minister Jiří Brodský said.

The commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust at the seat of Czech diplomacy, held on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Special Envoy for Holocaust Issues, the Fight against Antisemitism and Freedom of Religion, Robert Řehák.
