Minister Lipavský to Attend NATO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Brussels and OSCE Ministerial in Vienna

On 3 December 2024, Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský will take part in the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers in Brussels. The discussions will focus on the Alliance’s strategy towards Russia, continued support for Ukraine, defence spending, and the growing security challenge posed by China. A meeting of the NATO–Ukraine Council will also take place, attended by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
The Minister will then travel to Vienna, where the meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) will be held on 4–5 December 2024. The ministers will discuss the organisation’s future functioning and the impact of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine on European security. On the margins of the ministerial, a meeting of the Friends of the Western Balkans will also take place.
