On 20 September 2024, Minister Lipavský met with his Korean counterpart, Minister Cho Tae-yul. This was their second meeting in a short period of time. This time it focused on the discussion of strategic documents concluded during the official visit of Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol to Czechia.

The Czech and Korean diplomatic chiefs also signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea on cooperation in the reconstruction of Ukraine. "I welcome the fact that cooperation between our two countries has expanded to include another important area, namely assistance to Ukraine. With the Memorandum, both sides show that they are ready to cooperate in the reconstruction of the country and also support the involvement of the private sector," Minister Lipavsky added.

The ministers followed up on their meeting in Seoul and had the opportunity to discuss the strategic documents agreed on the occasion of the presidential visit and follow-up steps in the field of practical cooperation. The promotion of people-to-people contacts, tourism, strategic communication and cultural cooperation were also important topics when the ministers visited the National Museum together.
