Minister Lipavský Co-launches Conference in Paris

On 18 May 2025, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský spoke at the opening of the international conference Stronger Together – Europe, Israel, and the Middle East in a Tumultuous World organized by the non-governmental organization The European Leadership Network (ELNET), which takes place on 18 and 19 May 2025 in Paris.

"Today’s dangers don’t just come from terrorist groups. They’re backed by states like Russia and Iran. This isn’t just a short-term partnership — it’s a dangerous alliance shaping the wars of the future. And those wars won’t stop at the borders of Ukraine or the Middle East," Lipavský warned in his speech.

Minister Lipavský also stressed that Israel is Czechia's most important partner in the Middle East, thanks to shared democratic values and a long-standing historical friendship. The Czech diplomatic chief added that the future of our security depends on deeper cooperation between democratic states in the fields of defence, cyber, innovation and resilience to hybrid threats.
