The head of Czech diplomacy, Petr Macinka, will attend the Munich Security Conference on 13–14 February 2026, where he will speak on the panel “The West – West Divide: What Remains of Common Values” together with former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski.
On the occasion of the conference, Minister Macinka will hold a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Austria, Argentina, Montenegro, Moldova, Slovenia, India, and several other countries. He will also meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.
The Minister considers a meeting with the Federal Minister of the Interior of the Federal Republic of Germany, Alexander Dobrindt, as well as talks with the CEO of Schwarz Group, Gerd Chrzanowski, which operates the Kaufland and Lidl retail chains in the Czech Republic, to be an important part of his programme.
In addition to political and economic meetings, the Minister will also meet with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the American Jewish Committee, Theodore Eliot Deutch. As he has long been following developments in Belarus, he also values the opportunity to speak with the representative of the Belarusian democratic opposition, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
