Possibilities of enforcing President Volodymyr Zelensky's peace plan. This was the topic of the global meeting held in Davos, Switzerland, on Sunday, January 14, 2024. The Czech delegation to the meeting was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Jan Marian.
"President Zelensky's peace plan is the only plan that is under consideration for the Czechia. We support concrete steps, for example within the Nuclear Safety Group, which we co-chair. We offer Ukraine our expertise in protecting nuclear facilities, thus preparing it for the situation when peace talks with Russia begin," Marian said after the meeting, which was attended by representatives of the G7, the European Union and a number of non-European countries in addition to Ukraine.
Marian also mentioned the possibility that the Czechia would take part in the organisation of some of the events, which would be attended by experts from the countries concerned. He stressed that support for the Ukrainian peace plan would also be the topic of the subsequent meetings, not only at the level of deputies or security advisors, but also of prime ministers and presidents.
