Deputy Foreign Minister Jiří Kozák Visited the Pardubice Region

Deputy Foreign Minister Jiří Kozák visited the Pardubice Region on Tuesday, 30 January. The central theme of the working trip, organised in cooperation with the Regional Economic Chamber of the Pardubice Region, was to support Czech science abroad.

Deputy Kozák met with the Rector of the University of Pardubice, Libor Čapek, the deans of the technical faculties and a representative of the university's Centre for Technology and Knowledge Transfer. He also visited the Transport Research and Training Centre.

The Deputy Minister presented ways the MFA can support the academic and private sphere in the field of research, development and innovation. He presented the various support tools of the MFA, such as projects to support economic and scientific diplomacy. The discussion also included the priorities and challenges faced by universities and companies in penetrating foreign markets.

"I was very pleased with the wide range of research and academic capacities on offer, which are practically connected with the needs of companies from the Pardubice Region. The key takeaways from here are the specific assignments for our further work," Deputy Kozák summarized.
