Statement of the MFA on the Terrorist Attacks in Madrid

The MFA is shocked by the reports of terrorist attacks in Madrid, that have claimed many innocent victims among civilian population. The MFA strongly condemns all acts of violence and terrorism regardless to the nature of their political motivation. The Czech Republic is an active member of the anti-terrorist coalition and strictly refuses the use of violence and terrorism for political goals.(12/3/2004)

The MFA expresses its deepest sympathy and most sincere
condolences to the relatives of the victims. The Deputy Prime
Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Cyril Svoboda is sending a
telegramme of condolence.
