Deputy Minister Tlapa received a group of ambassadors from the OIC countries

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Martin Tlapa received a group of ambassadors from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on 21 May 2021 - Iraqi Ambassador H.E. Ms. Sundus Omar Ali Albayraqdar, Tunisian Ambassador H.E. Ms. Ambassador Yosra Souiden, Turkish Ambassador H.E. Mr. Egeman Bagis and Pakistani Ambassador H.E. Mr. Muhammad Khaled Jamali. The main topic of their discussion was the situation in the Middle East.
OIC ambassadors presented the text of a resolution adopted by foreign ministers of the OIC countries at an extraordinary virtual meeting on 16 May 2021. Deputy Minister Tlapa reiterated the Czech Republic's position on the Middle East Peace Process and highlighted a broad political consensus vis-à-vis Israel in the Czech Republic including its top state leaders. He welcomed the agreement on ceasefire and expressed his support for every diplomatic effort to restore the prospect of direct peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.
