"When I received the invitation to fly to Israel, I did not hesitate for a second," Minister Kulhánek said. "The purpose of the trip is to express our uncompromising support for Israel, which has the full right to protect its citizens." He and his Slovak counterpart Ivan Korčok inspected buildings damaged by a Palestinian rocket in the city of Petach Tikva. Later, they had the opportunity to see a pillar of Israel's Iron Dome air defence system, which can neutralise about 90% of rockets before they hit.

On the trip, Minister Kulhánek confirmed the strong and stable relations between the Czech Republic and Israel. He also discussed with Benjamin Netanyahu the resumption of travel for vaccinated tourists. According to Minister Kulhánek, an influx of Israeli tourists can significantly help the Czech tourism industry this year, including hotels and restaurants. They also talked about potentially renewing the tradition of joint meetings of the Israeli and Czech governments, which could take place in Prague.

The Minister also visited the embassy in Tel Aviv and its office in Jerusalem. He talked about life in Israel during the conflict with embassy staff and their families, who described seeking refuge in bomb shelters several times a day.
