Czechia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Scientific Cooperation in Antarctic Research with Turkey

 

On July 8, 2019, Deputy Minister Doleček signed, on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, with Director General Macit, representing the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, a Memorandum of Understanding on Scientific Cooperation in Antarctic Research.

The signing of the Memorandum took place on the margins of the historically first Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (ATCM) in the Czech Republic at the residence of the Turkish Ambassador Bigali and under presence of the ATCM Chairman, Deputy Minister Smolek. The Memorandum will serve as a basis for further successful cooperation between both States in Antarctica.
