
Minister Zaorálek in the Netherlands

Minister of Foreign Affairs Lubomír Zaorálek visited the Netherlands on June 29, 2015, where he held talks with his Dutch counterpart Bert Koenders and met the representatives of the International Criminal Court and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. Minister Zaorálek was accompanied by a group of Czech entrepreneurs participating in a business forum.
The visit of Minister Zaorálek aimed to reinforce bilateral relations with a focus on the cooperation within the EU. With respect to the fact that the Netherlands will take over the Presidency of the Council of the EU in the first semester of 2016, the exchange of opinions on further reforms of the EU and coordination of policies is of utmost importance. The cooperation of the BENELUX countries with the Visegrad Group, where the Czech Republic assumes presidency on July 1, 2015, belonged to important topics of the consultations, as well.
