PRIOR CONSULTATIONS
Schengen Area Member State may require the central authorities of other Member States to consult its central authorities when examining Schengen visa applications of nationals of specific third countries or specific categories of such nationals. Such consultations do not concern applications for airport transit visas.
The central authorities consulted provide their replies not later than 7 calendar days after being consulted. The absence of a reply within that deadline means absence of an objection to issuing a Schengen visa.
