Special Envoy Jiří Krátký Met with Jaroslav Svěcený

The Special Envoy for Expatriate Affairs, Jiří Krátký, met with a prominent Czech violinist, Jaroslav Svěcený, to discuss connecting of the Czech culture abroad with the expatriate community abroad. The meeting took place in Prague on 21 January 2025.
Jaroslav Svěcený mentioned the warm and very positive experience when meeting Czechs living abroad during his concerts. Svěcený has played in more than 60 countries worldwide and will always remember the very cordial reception that he received from Czech audiences. He said it was one of the most authentic experiences of his travels abroad. Jiří Krátký and Jaroslav Svěcený focused on the compatriot context at cultural events organised by Czech Centres. The meeting brought a number of interesting insights and themes that both of them will continue to work with and develop in the next concept of expatriate policy. Jaroslav Svěcený expressed his interest in supporting the expatriate policy in his artistic activities (visibility of Czech musical tradition, specifically Czech violinists).
