Mrs. Marie Hlavničková Hadzi Antič was honored for her lifelong contribution to the Czech expatriate community in São Paulo. Mrs. Maria Luiza de Camargo Malina received the Medal for her long-standing efforts in promoting the exhibition dedicated to the memory of the child victims of the Lidice tragedy, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On September 5, 2025, Mr. Evandro Trachta, Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Batayporã, received the Medal for Merit in Diplomacy. The award was presented by Ambassador Pavla Havrlíková together with the Governor of the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Eduardo Riedel, during a ceremonial event at the Governor’s Palace in Campo Grande. Evandro Trachta, grandson of Czech emigrant Jindřich Trachta - who collaborated with Jan Antonín Baťa in settling the region and building the city of Batayporã, has been promoting the Czech Republic, its culture, and language for over 35 years. Although he was awarded the Medal in 2021, the presentation took place only now, as part of the visit of the Deputy Speaker of the Senate and the Senate Standing Commission for Czechs Living Abroad. Thanks to his efforts, the Czech expatriate association “Jindřich Trachta Memory Center” was established in Batayporã, where Czech language classes are held. The center also includes a Chapel of the Infant Jesus of Prague, built as a replica of the Chapel from Veselí nad Moravou.
