Conference: The Prague Agenda - Accomplishments and Challenges
17.04.2012 / 14:00
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Institute of International Relations and Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique would like to invite you to attend the conference
The international conference will be held Tuesday, April 17, 8:30 - 13:30, Great Hall, Czernin Palace, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Loretánské nám. 5, Prague 1
The conference will explore political and expert views related to recent developments within all three pillars of the Prague Security Agenda - arms control, non-proliferation and nuclear security and their interrelations.
Over the past year the strengthening of nuclear regimes through NPT and CTBT has faced several challenges as tensions regarding not verified nuclear programmes grew and an international crisis loomed on the horizon. At the same time, a new interest was spurred in ensuring nuclear security and safe use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. Our conference, with its aim to constructively link the relevant agendas, provides a timely opportunity to discuss ideas on future developments of these issues.
