The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Istanbul informs all applicants for long-term visas and residence permits that it strictly accepts all supporting documents in the Czech language only. Documents issued in other language than Czech must be accompanied by official translation into Czech. Otherwise, these documents will be considered as if they had not been submitted.

A list of official translators from Turkish into Czech, including contacts, can be found on the website of the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic.

The requirement conforms to Section 169(2) of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Territory of the Czech Republic, as amended.

For capacity reasons, the Consulate General no longer carries out verifications of translations into Czech when accepting applications for long-term visas and residence.
