Visa & Consular Information
Email confirmation of an appointment is required for all visits related to consular services and visa applications. This policy also extends to family members of EU citizens seeking Schengen visas. Access to the Visa and Consular Section will only be granted to individuals with a confirmed appointment. Those without an appointment will not be permitted entry.
Pakistani nationals can apply for a short-term (Schengen) visa to visit either the Czech Republic or Slovakia. Afghan nationals can only apply for a short-term visa to visit the Czech Republic. Long-term visa and residence permit applications for Pakistani and Afghan nationals visiting the Czech Republic are also accepted.

WORKING LANGUAGES
In accordance with Art. 169 of the Act no. 326/1999 on the Residence of Aliens in the Territory of the Czech Republic, the working languages of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Islamabad are Czech and English. A possibility to use other languages such as Urdu, Pashto, and Dari depends on the availability of the local personnel of the Consular and Visa Section.

COLLECTION OF PASSPORTS AND REFUSAL LETTERS (FOR ALL TYPES OF VISAS)
Passport/Refusal Letters can be collected on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Visa appeals can be submitted in person Monday to Friday. For more details on how to submit an appeal, please refer to the following link.
NOTE: Under exceptional circumstances, a passport may be retrieved by an authorized individual with a power of attorney. The Embassy will not be held responsible for any potential loss or damage incurred in the process.
CONSULAR TERRITORIAL COMPETENCE
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Islamabad is responsible for processing and approving visa applications from the following states where the applicant is a legal resident: Pakistan and Afghanistan.
CAPACITY OF VISA AND CONSULAR SECTION
a) Legalisation and other certification of documents - 12 slots per week
b) Short-Term (Schengen) Visa - 15 slots per week
c) Long-Term Visa and Residence - 8 slots per week
