
Czechia and OECD – 25 years: Past and Future

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic will hold an on-line conference dedicated to 25th Aniversary of the membership of Czechia in the OECD on December 8, 2020, 9:30 – 13:00. The event will take place on Webex and will be broadcated live on Facebook and YouTube.
The aim of this virtual conference is to mark the 25th Anniversary of Czechia´s entry in the OECD. It will highlight the most important moments of the accession process of Czechia as well as 25 years of membership of Czechia in the one of the most influential economic organisations in the world. The conference will be also the occasion to launch a booklet summarizing membership of Czechia in the OECD.
The conference will also offer an opportunity for the discussion on the future role of the OECD, contribution of Czechia and on main challenges for the OECD and its Members such as impacts of the current pandemic crisis.
The Conference will start at 9:30 with opening remarks by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, Secretary General of the OECD Ángel Gurría and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tomáš Petříček.
The event will be moderated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Tlapa.
